Monday Update: Today's soccer game has been postponed until tomorrow @ 3:30. There will be no soccer practice. XC practice is also cancelled for today. Mountain Bike Team will be inside from 3-4:30.

Today is our first Bike Meet of the season! Good luck to all of our Dedham Demon riders! The meet begins at 3:45.

The staff at Dedham School are immensely proud of our Grade 3-8 students for their dedication and concentration during the Maine Through Year assessments for Math this morning and Reading last Thursday. Each student showed impressive perseverance! Their commitment is a testament to the supportive environment our Dedham community fosters, and it’s truly inspiring to witness our students tackle these challenges head-on. We celebrate their accomplishments and eagerly anticipate the success that will come from their hard work!

This Saturday, September 14th, your Dedham School PTF needs your help! We run the parking concession for the Bangor Waterfront Concert Series at the Shaw's Parking Lot. While Pitbull is performing on stage, we have the potential to bring in thousands of dollars, just as in years past, that directly benefits the Dedham School Community. However, we are vastly understaffed at this moment in time. Please consider volunteering as this is a great yearly fundraiser for our PTF!! We especially need volunteers from 3pm - 7pm. Adults only please. If you have a bright orange or yellow vest, bring it, we will have some for people to use as well. What an amazing start to the school year! It’s been wonderful to see all of the smiling faces filling the classrooms and hallways once again. The teachers and staff have truly missed all of our students, families, and each other! We’re thrilled that our after-school activities are up and running, as we’re cheering on the Soccer team for their big game in Veazie today. Go Demons!

Dear Dedham School Families, It is my extreme pleasure to welcome you all to the 2024-2025 school year. I hope you are enjoying a fun, relaxing, and memorable summer. My name is Larry Clement, and I am honored to introduce myself as the new Principal of Dedham School. Going into my tenth year as a building principal and a total of twenty-eight years in education, I am thrilled to embark on this new journey with the Dedham community. Since joining the Dedham team this summer, I have had the privilege of meeting many wonderful people, and I am eager to get to know each and every one of you. The Dedham School and its community is known to be an amazing place and I concur! What have I discovered thus far? Our teachers are exemplars of dedication, care, and professionalism. They set high expectations across all dimensions for academic achievement, behavioral standards, and citizenship, all-the while ensuring that each child is not only challenged to reach their full potential but also guided in developing strong character and responsibility. Our entire staff possess an unwavering passion for our students and community. Coupled with the tremendous partnership and teamwork from such a supportive community, sky’s the limit on the successes we will achieve this year. Communication between the school and our families will begin to flow quite regularly in just a few weeks.
